Speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy
Currumbin Community Special School is supported through visiting Department of Education, Training and Employment employed therapists. This service is based on a referral from teacher application process and student access is prioritised according to need for safety, wellbeing and educational engagement. Private therapists can work with students at school. This needs to be negotiated through the Principal.
Guidance Officer
Currumbin Community Special School has a Guidance Officer who works four days per week. The Guidance Officer’s key roles include assessment and verification reviews of students and support to students in care of the state.
