Music is an integral part of the curriculum that we deliver at Currumbin Community Special School.
The benefits of music as a tool to support, inspire, encourage and develop the whole child are well documented.
Music provides a rich learning environment with specific cross – curricular links. Music can be used to enhance learning in communication, literacy, numeracy and movement development.
It provides a context for repetition, rehearsal and learning through personal expression and communal identity.
At Currumbin music is encountered, experienced and given value within the programme for its own sake as well as within the context of other curriculum areas.
